MYTHICALS

Personnel

Mythicals are a 6 piece Rock & Pop Covers band fronted by two lovely ladies. The band  consists of :-

Kate White (Vocals)

The lovely Kate (aka Katie,Ms K, Kitty Kat, Katester) is a versatile diva, with interests from fashion to farming, which is useful in keeping the boys out of wizard robes & sequins (Gil has watched too many ELP videos).

Kate just loves to sing so it's no surprise that we first met Kate at our local jam nights where her wide-ranging  vocal talents can have her storming an AC/DC classic one moment and crooning an Adele number the next.

Kate is known for her feared & revered ‘Paddington Bear’ hard stare which can freeze the most ardently stage hogging guitarist, mid solo (in his tracks), before the audience loses the will to live..

Rachel Sinetta (Vocals)

The latest addition to The Mythicals line-up, Rachel brings her amazing vocal talents to deliver and lift songs with her harmonies and  vocal prowess. The vocal blend of Rachel & Kate's voices is truly excellent. Rachel has considerable experience as a vocalist & songwriter and has even fronted an orchestra!

Ric Bardsley (Lead Guitar)

Ric is fast becoming the master of the ‘short & sweet' solo on every occasion!

'I try to keep this unruly bunch organised - they make me smile so I can forgive them everything. Seriously, I think they're fabulous musicians and they keep my passion for music alive & kicking!'

Whilst on the subject of kicking, Arran & Kay form Mythicals' dynamic rythmn section and really make this band kick butt.

Pete Hood (Bass Guitar)

Pete is a recent addition to the Mythicals. He decided to go out and learn how to play the bass guitar after watching an Iron Maiden concert in 2011 and hasn’t looked back! Pete plays as much bass as he can between juggling 2 young children at home in Maidenhead. Mythicals snapped him up having seen him playing at local jam nights.

Arran Johnstone (Drums & percussion)

Arran is a fantastic drummer and a valuable addition to Mythicals. He has wide experience from working with an original band (writing their own songs). With Pete, they form a formidable rythmn section that really makes this band kick. He has wide musical influences and is adding considerably to the dynamics. We just love his work...

Last but by no means least -

Clive Milbank (keyboards) (Aka Gilby)

Former keyboards player for the Floydian Doors...

Gil is a tall pianist who has been playing classic rock and ballads since the age of 6 but can also play a bit of 'classical'. He told me he is 'dashing and debonair with a smooth complexion thanks to a large degree of regular moisturising'. (Yes, he is a completely bonkers but nevertheless, a total musical genius)

Gil also asked that I let you know that when playing solo or at jam nights, he will entertain requests if he can but, "The Piano Is On My Foot" is not one of them.

With influences sucked up through four decades of rip roaring classics from artists such as Adele, Alanis Morissette, Pink, Chaka Khan, Tina Turner, Cher, Shania Twain, Anastacia, Beyonce & Janis Joplin, all powered out with stylish musicianship, the MYTHICALS' show is more an event than a local gig!

If you think our name is familiar, before Kate White joined us, you may have seen us in our 'former life' as Mythical Men. We've headlined at The Purple Turtle for Oxjam Reading Takeover in October 2015, as well as performed at many other festivals and venues throughout the area. (We're back at the Purple Turtle on 11 October 2019).

Check out our .mp3s in the 'MUSIC' section, showing off the band's abilities...

Come along to the next show - every MYTHICALS performance is geared towards getting a big old house party going...
